Since the institute believe in the academic excellence along with all round development. Many activities kept on taking place throughout the year. These activities are summed up as follows:

Industrial Trips

A group of 34 students of ECE and EEE departments and 5 faculty members of the same departments reached Delhi on an industrial trip to visit Vingties Pvt. Ltd. Moreover they reached Noida to visit a power station. In addition to it the students of EEE visited Rajat Premier Corporation in Meerut. Moreover, the students of ME department went to the different places for industrial trips including Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi; NTPC Dadri; Bhushan Steel Pvt. Ltd., Shahibabad; Sharda Motor industries Ltd., New Delhi and BEL, Ghaziabad.

Motivational Session

The institute provides free motivational classes for the benefit for the students from time to time. In continuation of this effort the institute provided a motivational session for the students of B. Tech. and M.B.A. in the month of April, 2014. The resource person was Sh. Kuldeep Chaudhary. The institute will arrange some more classes of this kind in the future. Very soon the Skill Development class is likely to be provided at free of cost.

Seminars Conducted

The following branches organized technical seminars:

CSE Department conducted the seminars for the students of CSE (2nd and 3rd years) on Rover Technology, 5 G, Indexing and Smart Card etc. in the month of March. Seminars were conducted for the students of ECE (2nd year students) on Wi-Fi, Under Water Communication, 4-G,GSM and Lie Detecting Test; for the students of ECE (3rd year students) on Solar Power Satellites Android, RADAR and Bluetooth; for the students of ECE (4thyear students) on Analog to Digital Convertor, Bluetooth Technology, RADAR and 4-G Wireless System etc. EEE (2nd and 3rd year students) organized seminars on various topics e.g. Atomic Power Grid, Circuit Breader, Transformer, Dc Motor, AC Motor and DC Motor, A Relay and Induction Motor etc. in October. The topics for ME (2nd and 3rd year students) included Air Driven Engine, Hybrid Engine, Hybrid Chimney and Solar Refrigerator in November.

Quizzes Conducted

The following departments conducted quizzes in their respective departments: CSE Department conducted the quizzes for the students of CSE (2nd and 3rd years) on Soft-core and Hard-core in the month of October. A quiz was conducted on general topic of current affairs by ECE (2nd and 3rd years). The topic for EEE (2nd and 3rd years) was also general. But ME Department conducted the quizzes entitled Automobile Quiz and GyanManthan Quiz for the students of 2nd and 3rd year& final year.

Fresher Party

R. D. Foundation Group of Institutions, Modinagar organised the fifth Fresher Party on the institute campus. On this occasion the students of second year welcomed the students of first year with zeal and zest. The programme began with lighting the lamp. Saraswati Vandana quickly followed it. Then the director of the institute, Prof. Daisy Bhat blessed and welcomed the students followed by the Deans of B.Tech. and MBA. Fashion Parade, the most coveted event comprised of three rounds viz. Ramp Walk, Short Activity and Questionnaire.

Games and Sports Activities

The institute conducted a "Games & Sports Day" which included various races, cricket, badminton and carom etc. besides it, the students of ME department participated in inter college sports activities at IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad.

Annual Techno- Cultural Fest

R.D Foundation Group of Intuitions, Modinagar presented its Annual Techno-Cultural Fest (KALRAV). Day one programme comprised of LAN Gaming, Buy, Borrow and Steal, Carve your Skills, Robo Race, Path Finder, Theme Based Models and Treasure Hunt etc. Day one programme commenced with Ganesh Vandana. The last event was D.J. which kept the audience enthralled. Day two programme comprised of Song, Skit, Dance, Street Play, Rangoli, T Shirt Painting and Fashion Show. Ramp walk also brought to fore cultural heritage of India. Then it was the turn of dance (fusion) where over a dozen students performed in unison, a blend of western and Indian rhythm, ragas and instruments.

Blood Donation Camp

Blood cannot be manufactured in factories; it can only come from generous donors. The blood donation drive embodies the spirit of sacrifice and social responsibility. The institute, consisting of passionate students, Director, faculty and staff, has been organising “Blood Donation Camps” for continuous three years in line with the institute's philosophy of giving back to the society. Even this year institute organised the same in collaboration with Rotary Noida Blood Bank and donated more than 90 units of blood.

Article Writing Competition

An article writing competition was conducted for the B. Tech 1st year students in English. The topic was “Role of a Student in the Society.” 45 students participated in it. Their performance was appreciable.

Placement

The institute gives good placement to the students of B. Tech. and M.B.A. Even this year the institute has given coveted placement to the students of B. Tech. and M.B.A. like last year. The major companies which have of late selected 30 students from B.Tech. include DIGI Call Teleservices, Samsung, Uninor, MTS, Idea and Subros etc. Moreover, Diamond Auto Industries has selected 15 students of B. Tech. (ME) in May, 2014. Many students of B. Tech. and M.B.A. have already been selected in many other reputed companies. It is highly hoped that the endeavours of the institute will be more fruitful in the days to come.
